Red SnapperAt least I think it is a snapper. I shot this for the spice company Dash of Dacy, Dacy herself did the cooking and couldn’t have been a cooler person. ShrimpNothing shrimpy about these shrimp, no siree, these shrimp are medium to large sized and would kick the crap out of some tiny shrimps. These particular shrimp still have their eyes so they can see what’s coming, my teeth. My friend Karen likes to eat these guys whole shell and all, I am not quite on board with eating the heads, they are soft and almost cream cheesy, maybe I can save the heads for my friend. Mouth Watering SteakMouth watering? Yes, I know. I had to photograph this steak, get real intimate with its every detail, watch the juices work their way to the top of the steak, begging me, pleading with me to drop my camera and just bite this god forsaken chunk of delicious perfectly cooked aromatic beef. But instead I held fast, I kept my head down and did my job. Mushroom BotanicalTaking a page from floral arrangements food stylist Karen Ferries and I created this image from various Japanese Mushrooms. Photography was done in my Newport Delaware photo studio. Karen sourced all of the mushrooms in Philadelphia from stores around the city.

Burger BonanzaBurgers can be one of the toughest subjects for a photographer to get everything just right. Everything needs to look great, you start with a bunch of buns and pick the best one, cut the veggies and layer them on a perfect patty then slowly put the condiments on with a pipette or syringe lastly a heat gun is applied to the cheese and viola several hours later you have a burger photo. The after photo is too gruesome to show, it has been banned by the government and lies on a thumb drive buried hundreds of feet underground so as to avoid future generations from ever finding such a disturbing photo. Rustic Egg Sometimes the light just catches you and inspiration hits. I was shooting an entirely different composition and was struck with how beautiful the light looked. A couple of quick adjustments and viola a different look. Often I will set up a shot and get three of four looks to choose from and end up with something a lot better than what I had planned.
