Dan Jackson - Philadelphia Area Product Photographer

Looking for a product or food photographer in the Philadelphia area? Before I became a full time photographer I was a painter specializing in still life, so I have tons of experience in trying to bring life to inanimate objects

I know It can be hard to find someone specializing in product photography, because it involves special lighting techniques a studio, lights, backgrounds and a bunch of creative ideas about how to make your product stand out. I have a studio Newport, Delaware, just over a half hour from center city Philadelphia, even closer to the Philadelphia Airport. The studio consists of 1200 square feet of space that includes a kitchen for food photography.

Clients are encouraged to sit in on shoots, we pull the images up on a large screen and can make adjustments as necessary. It is a fun collaborative process and can involve as much or as little input from you as you would like. When clients come to me, first we will discuss the general direction they envision for their brand and strategies and budgets for creating just the right images for them. Often a good way to break the ice is to start a “mood board” which can consist of color palettes, to concepts and compositions. A mood board can provide direction on a shoot to insure we are moving along without too much thumb twiddling. I shoot packaging, e-commerce, shots on white, food, editorial, lifestyle pretty much anything you need if you are looking to elevate your brand. I do multiple-day-shoots, down to an hour long shoot if the client has simple needs.
